Following the success of the courses run over the last two years, Surrey Scouts Water Activity Club and 1st Cuddington (Warspite) Sea Scouts will be organising the provision of a level 1 coach course, provided through the excellent coach tutors at Kayako Jacko.
Dates: 2 weekends: Feb 25 & 26th; March 31st & April 1st – you will need to attend both weekends.
You will need to provide your own lunch. Location: Warspite Scout boathouse, Thames Ditton
Cost: Still to be confirmed. The absolute maximum that anyone will pay is £200. We do however have funding to reduce this for those in Scouting. We would expect that this would account for up to £100 of the course costs. Some of this grant funding is geographically limited to Surrey. You will also need to register with the BCU, and if you are not already a member – join.

Pre-requisites: You need to hold both the “old” 2 star in canoe and the “old” 2 star in kayak or the “new” combined 2 star. You will need your certificate. You will also need to complete your Foundation Safety and Rescue Training(the “old” CST no longer is valid for this) Minimum age is 16
