Once again Surrey Scouts Water Activities Club are running their popular moving water weekend on the Usk in South Wales.
The weekend will be run in the area around Brecon, with the Llangorse Rope Centre (www.activityuk.com) providing our accommodation and base.
Trip Information
•The cost of the trip will be £72 per person. This does not include boat hire.
•This price includes your accommodation and breakfast and saturday evening meal, but does not include friday evening meal or lunches.
•Participants are responsible for their own transport down to Wales although SSWAC will put people in contact with each other to arrange car sharing where possible.
•There must be an adult attending who is responsible for the wellbeing and behaviour of any participant under 18 when not on the water. This may be a Scout Leader, nominated adult or non-paddling parent/guardian
There are opportunities for an introduction to moving water, formal 3 star kayak training, 3 star assessment, personal development sessions and for those that are experienced simply a fun trip.
Pre-requisites
To reserve your place, please complete and return the attached application form.
Be quick as spaces are limited and will initially be allocated to members of the Scout Association and Scout Active Support Unit (SASU). Fourteen days from the date of this message, scout occasional helpers and non-scout members will be placed on a waiting list.
All participants over 18 residing at the Cente shall require a Scout Association CRB. All paddling participants over 18, if not personally known to SSWAC SASU, shall require a character reference acceptable to SSWAC. All paddling participants, if not members of the Scout Association, shall be a member of the BCU.
