Canoeing on the Thames

So today we went out on the Thames with Kingston Scouts Canoe Club. This is something we’ve done for the last few years but usually on a weekday evening. This year we went for a Saturday morning and it was much more relaxing.
Twenty Cubs and Scouts (plus two leaders and a dad) went out on the water in kayaks and canoes and had a great time. Mentioning no names but there was at least one Cub who seemed to spend more time in the water than in the kayak! By the end if the session most people were soaked through. Luckily with the recent weather the water was pretty warm, even in the river.
